Has anyone ever made an airsoft toy into a real gun?

I don't even have to look at the video. I know it involves lower receivers of certain airsoft guns. It is theorectically possible though. And although plastic the receiver probably receives the least amount of stress of all the body parts of the gun. The only area that receives a great deal of force is the ring.
