What's wrong with the military?

Even though Washington is supportive of gays and lesbians serving openly, the military is still not supportive of the idea. This is why DADT is taking forever to be repealed. They don't want gays to enlist for any reason, even for a good cause like serving the nation and even willing to die for that. But the military allows ghetto thugs to enlist. These gangsters don't want to serve their country, they just want to serve their 'hood'. They only want to enlist to learn techniques with firearms and cause trouble in civilian life, yet the military wouldn't discharge them for that. Is this a good cause? What's wrong with them?
